Today's mood ∼ tranquil.
(My minuscule herb garden of laurel, rosemary & violets, and the point where wood & lino meet. We're lucky to have a large hallway/lobby, but for now it's in dire straits. At the moment the dream is to add some pale grey&white concrete tiles, something simple and subtle. And a huge old cupboard of course.)

Tällä hetkellä on haaveissa vaaleanharmaa-valkoiset betonilaatat, jotakin simppeliä ja sopivan rosoista joka tapauksessa. Ja valtaisa vanha kaappi tottakai.)

I love colours, hues, yet seem to always fall back on the whites and light greys. But they have to be soft somehow.

These are from my home, yes, snapped this morning :) The kitchen is cute, but little, as we had to split the old kitchen in half to create a room for my daughter. (But one day we'll have it back to its previous, large glory...) The next time you happen to be in Helsinki, you'll have to send me a message and I'll get that coffee brewing, seriously :)

If these images show your 'Before' and the hallway is in dire straights, then I think that my jaw will definitely drop and drool when you show the finished product! ReplyDeleteToivottavasti haaveesi toteutuu ennenpitkää! Tuossa eteisen lattian alla menee joku putki ja korkkimattokin sen kohdalla vähän pullottaa, joten ajateltiin, että hiominen ei olisi ehkä maailman paras idea. Lisäksi eteisessä kuitenkin lattia joutuu aikamoiselle kulutukselle, joten laatat olisi käytännöllinenkin ratkaisu. Mutta nimenomaan rosoista saa luvan olla!

I think sometimes it helps to zone in on the whites, pales and calms - definitely reflects also on the inside.

ReplyDeleteViime kerrasta on aikamoisen pitkä aika eli kai täällä on jotain tapahtunut sitten viimeisen. Mutta tosiaan täällä on vähän sellainen kahtiajakoinen meininki, toinen puoli vielä aika hunningolla :)
